ANNEAL wants this shop to work for everyone, including people using a screen reader, keyboard navigation, magnification or reduced motion.

The standard we build to

We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. In practice that means:

• every control can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, and the focused control is always visibly marked;
• text meets the contrast requirements against the background it sits on;
• images that carry meaning have text alternatives, and decorative ones are hidden from assistive technology;
• the page is structured with real headings, landmarks and labels rather than styling alone;
• animation respects your system's reduced-motion setting;
• the site works at 200% zoom and on a small screen.

Where we fall short

This is an ongoing effort rather than a finished state. Some of our product photography carries text within the image, and third-party payment fields at checkout are outside our direct control, though we choose providers who meet the same standard.
